The Hunters Hill Lawn Tennis Club is Hunters Hill oldest tennis club dating from 1889. We have 5 beautifully maintained lawn tennis courts and a delightful clubhouse for the use of members and guests. We provide a number of organised social windows of play throughout the week and have teams representing the club in the metropolitan Badge competitions on Thursdays and Saturdays. Tennis played at Hunters Hill is the pleasure of that well struck groundstroke and the satisfaction of a cleanly returned serve. It is the camaraderie of encouraging your partner and congratulating and thanking your opponents, win or lose. It is the reward of belonging to a community of keen members who work together to look after this local club.
Though, this isn’t just tennis. This is lawn tennis, the original game played on real grass – fast and low – gentle on the knees and providing lifelong challenges and enjoyment.
Our lawn courts were selected by Lleyton Hewitt for the Australian team practices leading up to the September 2016 Davis Cup tie.
