For Beginners and Intermediate Sailors with or without their own Flying 11

Unique opportunity for those interested in experiencing up to three solid days of expert training in the exciting high performance Flying 11, but who do not have access to their own Flying 11.  Ideal for those that are looking to transition from Optimists, Sabots, Manly Juniors or other junior classes.

All Training led by International Sailors and experienced Flying11 coaches

For those without a boat, we will provide boats and experienced skippers – (please note limited places and with an additional fee)

For those with a boat we will offer training for beginners and intermediate levels
The sessions will focus on boat handling, speed and tactics, and will be intense with moments of classic HHSC fun and games!!!
We welcome Flying 11 sailors from all Clubs.

The Flying Eleven is designed as a high performance racing skiff suitable for 12- to 18-year-olds. High performance skiff sailing is fast becoming the goal of a great many dinghy sailors. The Flying Eleven is a logical step in the transition between the single handed Optimist to combination skipper and crew and prepares young sailors for larger, faster skiffs  such as the 29ers.

HHSC holds races for Flying Elevens on most Sunday afternoons between September and March as well as running a number of Sunday morning races during the Winter.  We also provide  support to our teams for the Nationals, States and other important Flying Eleven regattas.   Our racing series are accompanied by an active training programme with training sessions taking place on most Friday afternoons in the Spring and Summer terms between 4.15 and 6.45;  weekend winter training; as well as a number of camps held during the school holidays.
